"Gateway" is inspired by an earlier painting . Quite often my beloved snippets of paintings become the inspiration for new paintings.
In this one, Iam reminded of the heat and dry grasses and gateways to enormous Cattle Stations in the North.
It is such vast, hot country where yhe landscape has such an ancient beauty that gets into your soul.
